We are seeking a talented front-end developer to build a fast, user-friendly web tool powered by the MapQuest API. The tool will offer users turn-by-turn directions, nearby places search, mileage tracking, and printable route maps.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate MapQuest API for maps, geocoding, and routing

• Build a clean, responsive UI/UX

• Add features like “Print Route,” mileage calculator, and custom markers

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness

• Collaborate on future feature expansion (e.g., voice directions, saved routes)

Requirements:

• Proficiency in JavaScript (React preferred)

• Experience with REST APIs, especially mapping/location APIs

• Knowledge of MapQuest API (or willingness to learn quickly)

• Strong attention to detail in UI design

• Familiarity with deployment on Netlify/Vercel a plus
